Mines Currently Rome: Total War, but im still yet to play the newer ones.

I'm in the same position as Jeff. Rome Total War is my fav. But I haven't played anything newer. Still an awesome game though.

Yeah, it is a very different kind of RTS, took me a while as well. But after you get the hang of it, I found it very enjoyable.

My Fave is deffinatly Rome:total war, the greatest thing i have ever seen was in that game, lighting pigs on fire, which go and kill pretty much anything nearby

However, i also have Empire and Medieval 1/2 and they get progressive better and i recommend them all, espically Medieval 2, it has a very indepth political system and religion can affect your nation dramatically =]
