| Well since most of us play Combat Arms and enjoy it, I was wondering what the other free online FPS games are like, and whether there is more that maybe our club's members could get into.
So if anyone has and plays any other free FPS games, let us know what they are and if they are worth getting in to, I'm currently downloading Crossfire, it has a fairly high rank on Xfire for hours played so I'm guessing it isn't half bad, I'll be sure to let everyone know if its good or not after I play it.

| I recently played Crossfire for the first time, and frankly I was very disappointed, at first i thought mm this is similar to CA which in a way it is, but its as if they tried to glue CSS to CA, and there was an explosion, it is not very good at all mind you I played all of 2 rounds then decided it wasn't for me. The reason is that the graphics were poor, gameplay was also quite poor, and all the screens before actually playing to me were just rubbish, I think they could do ALOT better with this game graphics wise, Gameplay was ok, they had a few neat features which reminded me of CSS such as a "bag" system, you can have up to I think its 4 bags each with different weapon combo's and while your in your spawn zone you can choose what weapons you want to use, each re-spawn you are able to choose again if you wish, and the way maps were set out was sort of CSS style as well, but general movement etc was fine smooth and whatnot but it was still just in my opinion not a good gaming experience. | |

, so not the best Similar to CA, there is free currency also called GP, and there is buyable currency cant remember what it's called. In theory they should be making plenty enough to bring graphics up to the levels of at least CA, they are ranked #10 on Xfire and CA is #25 so I don't think money is the issue I personally think, they are trying to cram to much into the game, instead of simply 2 teams, and you choose any character, there are 6 teams to choose from 3 groups of 2(I assume 1 team on each is good and 1 is bad), your character is based on team, their is SAS, SWAT and something else, I just think the game has great potential, and they should maybe spend some time on the little things, such as the look of the menu screens, I know it shouldn't matter but those menu screens look terrible it isn't very well organized, and it looks like the game was made in the late 90's, the in-game graphics are fine up to a good standard, not fantastic but about the same as CSS, I also didn't find gameplay very satisfying at all

| Yeah. Crossfire looked rather...cheese...excuse the French. I am assuming it is more popular due to it's lower level of lolhacksnoobs? I was curious about it's gameplay- now I know. Thanks Juff! | |
